The story behind Mary's Handmaid
How It Began
My love for the rosary was passed down to me by Sr. Inez, one of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament — the religious community founded by St. Katharine Drexel. Sr. Inez had the profound privilege of caring for St. Katharine in her final years, and it was from her gentle, faithful hands that I learned to string and pray the rosary.
There is something sacred about receiving a tradition from someone so close to a saint. Sr. Inez carried that holiness quietly, and she poured it into everything she taught. I think of her every time I pick up a bead.
Mary's Handmaid was born from that inheritance — a desire to pass on what was given to me, one rosary at a time. Each piece is handcrafted with a prayer offered over every bead before it leaves my hands, just as I was taught.
